Murder’s a game my college does every year where everyone’s given a plastic knife with someone’s name on it. The knives are shoved under your door at midnight and for the next week you have to try and ‘kill’ the person on your knife. If you kill them, you get their knife and have to kill that person, and so on, until there is one lone survivor. You can’t kill someone in the dining hall or in their room, or if they’re naked. I’m pretty sure the prize is a bottle of vodka.
It gets super intense; some floors unscrew most of their lights to make it harder to find the right person, or keep the fire emergency doors closed with black garbage bags taped up so you can’t even see into the floor. Some people walk around in nothing but a towel so that if someone comes at them they can just drop it and be immune. People walk in groups. Everyone’s suspicious of everyone. Friends are no longer trusted. No one and nowhere is safe.
No. YOU DON’T GET TO DO THIS AND SLIP UNDER THE RADAR. Anyone who’s seeing this, I beg you to reblog. I want as many people to see this shit as possible.
this is really true tho!!! my uncle was a cop in NY & FL and they taught him to shoot first if he had to. anytime a cop feels threatened (and they basically teach cops they’re always threatened) they can shoot. its rlly sick psychological torture shit to help create a police state tbh

I’m a Direct Support Professional in small town Maine, and for my job I went through Mandt training to learn about establishing relationships and boundaries, as well as understanding how trauma and unmet needs can result in escalation of situations.
The man teaching this course told us that many public employees receive similar training and said he’d offer to run this program for local police due to the fact that people with cognitive and developmental disorders are at a higher risk of becoming victims of police violence due to behavior often construed by strangers as erratic. This guy offered to teach them this course, which would take all of three days, and they refused the offer. This system is broken, and has not been right for a long time.
I love when court cases are called things like person vs. state because I like to imagine a single person fighting a whole state on their own out of sheer rage
The White House declares gay marriage legal,
but when are they going to make mass murder illegal.
They slaughter us in numbers,
but won’t even let us donate blood to our brothers.
When politicians offer their condolences,
but make it easier for our opponents,
to say we get what’s coming to us.
You’re afraid of using a bathroom,
And yet we’re the ones ending up in the emergency room.
When the closeted kids can’t grieve
because they don’t have a space to conceive or believe,
and yet they feel guilty for not being out spoken
when it’s society who’ve stolen their voices.
When people who don’t get it move on the next day,
but we, we carry that weight, that pain, the use of our own name,
every day, every night, for the rest of our lives.
It’s us, you and me, we, that feel the burden, that feel the pain,
we are the ones crying out the name,
the outsiders, the people living on the edge,
screaming out the words ‘We stand with Orlando’
from the quiet torment living in our heads.
This is now officially, with over 50 causalities, the worst mass shooting in United States history. And the fact that it took place at a gay club was not merely coincidence. This was not just another act of senseless violence in America. This was a hate crime.
A man walked into a safe space for the LGBT community with an assault riffle and lined them up and slaughtered them.
Don’t do what the media is inevitably going to do. Don’t erase where this happened and who this happened to.
When you make your statements for/against gun control, remember this was a hate crime. When you make your statements about the gunman’s reported religious beliefs, remember this was a hate crime. When your politicians make empty promises about changing the way things are, remember this was a hate crime. When you make your statements about the media’s coverage of this, remind everyone this was hate crime.
Do not gloss over the identities of the victims. They were killed for them. This was a hate crime.
ok but what do adam and ronan save each other in their phones as? does ronan just save him as ‘a’ and his entire being lights up every time his phone rings and he just sees that one letter? does blue steal his phone and change it to ‘honey bunny’, ‘lover boy’ or ‘father of my child’ every time ronan says how gross she and gansey are? does adam start off with just ‘ronan’ as his contact name and somewhere along the line it changes to just ‘the boyfriend’ (and eventually ‘the husband’)? is adam’s ringtone for ronan the murder squash song? is ronan’s ringtone for adam the sweetest, sappiest love song of all time? (it’s usually on silent but does it ring one time when he’s with the rest of them and blue and henry Never let him forget about it?) is adam’s phone background an ~edgy, ~artistic, black-and-white picture of ronan glaring at something out of frame? do people ask him who that hot, dangerous-looking model on his phone is? is ronan’s phone background a picture of adam laughing and holding opal? (okay, this is already #confirmed.) does ronan have an entire instagram dedicated to cows and baby farm animals (with guest appearances by chainsaw)? does adam have a ~secret instagram mostly dedicated to just ronan with cows/baby farm animals/chainsaw? is adam’s facebook just pictures of them making out? are all his friends super jealous/kind of into it? do they post cute, domestic videos at the barns and blue just comments ‘gross’ on all of them and gansey writes half a dozen paragraphs about how happy/proud he is and what a beautiful family they are?
